People already have aspirations. The camera they have been saving for. The console waiting for its next player. The instrument collecting dust in someone else's room. Vingo just makes them more accessible — through people.
Vingo, a consumer-to-consumer (C2C) marketplace for buying and selling pre-owned products, has raised ₹10 crore (approximately $1.2 million) in a seed funding round led by India Quotient. Inuka Capital and angel investor Rishabh Goel, Founder of Credgenics, also participated in the round. The platform is live on the Play Store and App Store and currently operates in Bangalore.
The funds will be used to strengthen Vingo's product, invest in its trust infrastructure, deepen research into user behaviour and support targeted marketing across key user communities.
Founded in March 2026 by engineering undergraduate students Parth Sarthi (BITS Pilani), Saransh Goyal (IIT Delhi) and Krish Vashistha (IIT Delhi), Vingo is built on the premise that in consumer-to-consumer commerce, the person behind a listing is as important as the listing itself. The founders observed that transactions between individuals often fail to conclude because buyers and sellers have limited information about one another. Vingo addresses this through a trust infrastructure that combines identity, community-led discovery, escrow-backed payments and bidding within a single platform.
The marketplace focuses on products that people aspire to own, save up for and upgrade over time, including categories such as smartphones, cameras, gaming consoles, musical instruments, fashion and sports equipment. Alongside these listings, the platform also features unique items, such as an Argentina AFA 2022 World Cup jersey signed by Lionel Messi, Julián Álvarez and Emiliano Martínez.
“Consumer-to-consumer commerce is increasingly becoming a way for people to own products they may not otherwise buy new, while helping someone else realise value from products they no longer use. We are building Vingo around that behaviour by making it easier for people to discover, trust and transact directly with one another,”
According to market research firm Research and Markets, India's recommerce market is expected to grow from US$5.91 billion in 2026 to US$8.61 billion by 2030, driven by increasing consumer acceptance of buying and selling pre-owned products online. Vingo is building for the consumer-to-consumer segment within this broader market.
“We believe consumer-to-consumer commerce in India needs a fresh approach built from the ground up. The Vingo team has a thoughtful approach to the category, and we are excited to partner with them as they build,”
Looking ahead, Vingo will continue building a platform designed for both buyers and sellers, giving them greater confidence to transact directly with one another, as it works towards building India's next-generation consumer-to-consumer marketplace.
